Introducing the Temple Audio Monoblock.
The Monoblock is built on the same speaker output stage as the Bantam Gold.
But we have combined the outputs internally to produce a single, ultra high quality mono output.
Advantages of the Monoblock
The monoblock configuration offers a number of advantages besides the increased power.
A single speaker load is shared between two channels. Which results in less distortion.
Output impedance is reduced significantly, which further improves the damping factor, providing the most accurate reproduction of the recorded track.
Dual mono configuration also eliminates crosstalk and allows more flexibility in how you arrange your system.

As an aid to matching the amplifiers to your speakers, the Bantam gold has 8 selectable gain levels which we have chosen to best match HiFi speakers, sound sources and pre amps on the market today.
The selectable values are in the table below:

Being able to very accurately tweak the gain of each amplifier block in the system has an additional benefit in Bi Amped systems.
By adjusting the gain for the each speaker driver separately, you can correct any imbalances between treble and bass without the usual signal degredation that a traditional tone control would introduce.
For use with or without a Pre Amp.
The flexible configuration of the Temple Audio Monoblock allows you the freedom to use a passive or active pre amp.
If your sound source has a volume control, you dont need a pre amp at all! You can connect the Bantam Monoblocks directly to the line level outputs of your sound source.

External Power Supply.
The Bantam Monoblock works best with high quality, low noise 18V 3A power supply.
You can purchase the monoblocks with a suitable power supply for each included in the package.
It still works great with Sealed lead acid batteries, or any high quality power supply between 9V and 18V DC. We have added the option to purchase the Monoblocks with our without a power supply, in our store. In case you want to use your own power supplies.
